The remuneration for legal services is determined individually with each client, depending on the type and complexity of the case as well as the necessary workload. The minimum fees for legal advisors are regulated by the Ordinance of the Minister of Justice of 22 October 2015 on fees for the activities of legal counsels.
Our law firm applies the following billing systems:
- hourly rate,
- flat fee,
- success fee.
Hourly rate
This billing system is recommended for clients when it is difficult to estimate the total time required to complete the assignment. In such cases, a fixed hourly rate is agreed upon. Based on our experience, we make an initial estimate of the necessary time, and in consultation with the client, we provide regular updates on the number of hours worked.
Flat fee
This system is optimal for clients who require ongoing legal services with a defined scope of work, or in matters where the workload can be assessed in advance. It allows for better cost control of legal services. The fee is fixed and determined before the assignment begins. A variation of this system is a fixed number of hours per month during which the firm provides legal advice under a monthly flat fee arrangement.
Success fee
This system is offered when legal actions are aimed at achieving a specific, significant goal for the client (e.g., a business objective). The remuneration consists of a performance-based fee and may be defined either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the benefit obtained by the client.
